My journey…

Hello there, I’m so happy you have stopped by, my name is Laila and I am a degree qualified naturopath, nutritionist and herbalist. I am passionate about supporting busy people (like you) with their health so that you can thrive, have better relationships with one another, and love life (because that’s what happens when you ditch the crappy symptoms).

My passion for plants started when I was a child working in the garden with my mum. I grew up in a sustainable reference centre in Brazil and every day she would ask me to collect specific herbs for our meals. She passed on her knowledge about gardening, plants and respect for the natural world. When I was 13-years-old I realised that I wanted to learn everything there was to learn about medicinal plants and started to keep a record of the plants we used.

Living in rural Brazil, the women that surrounded me always made their own medicines. When someone was sick they would go to the garden or sometimes the forest to collect the special ingredient and back to the kitchen. A brew, tincture, cream or syrup would be offered. I was fascinated by the healing power of plants and wanted to make sure I remembered their unique qualities. When I finished school I felt the calling to further my studies about healing and settled into a Bachelors of Health & Science (Naturopathy). I wanted to be able to provide my family with genuine, strong, holistic care, which I now do.

Now days, I combine my experience with the traditional healers in Brazil, with my evidence-based naturopathic training to help people and their children’s health and wellbeing.

I adore supporting people seeking to conceive and birth healthy little bubbas. For this particular reason, I offer premium care packages for my preconception, pregnant and postpartum parents, which include all sorts of epic bonuses. Make sure to check these out.

Some of my favourite things to do include gardening and farm living, making herbal medicine and reading, preferable a really long fantasy book). Sleeping in on a rainy Sunday morning (I mean, who doesn’t). Drinking coffee in the morning sun (yes I do indulge in coffee). Having picnics with my family and friends. Cracking bad jokes and laughing at myself. Sneaking our dog, Mocha, inside for cuddles.

My favourite herbs include sage, chamomile, thyme, ginkgo and Withania a.k.a. the infamous ashwagandha.  My favourite nutrients include glutamine and choline.

Although, I have a very traditional medicine background I strive to always keep up to date with the latest scientific research and provide evidence-based treatments. I am constantly undergoing further training and I love using pathology to fully understand the underlying connections of your imbalance. Bringing you the best of both worlds.

I am a mama to my 10-year-old son and 10-month-old baby girl, who for most of the time I brought up on my own. What this means, is that I know a mama’s life gets really busy, so I aim to always provide a realistic and sustainable approach to health and wellness.
